In her own words:
Welcome and thanks for stopping in. As you can see, I’m a woman just like you. I’m a former corporate “burn-out” who realized after years of climbing the corporate ladder that she wanted something more from her life than just a career. Starting out in various sales, marketing and advertising positions, I was motivated and hell-bent on getting ahead. And I did. But after manifesting what I thought I wanted, I hit a wall and realized that eating meals in airports and being forced to miss my sacred daily work-outs wasn’t how I wanted to live my life. I found myself sitting in my beautiful office overlooking the Charles River in Boston (after a recent promotion) thinking: “There must be more to life than this.”During my corporate career I was always looking for opportunities to share my creativity, passion, and ideas. I would lead internal projects and try to push forward new endeavors within the organization, but found I met up with too many closed doors. I wanted to bring more life, creativity, and passion into the corporate environment! But after months of trying, I realized that creating my own company, where I could infuse it with the culture I wanted to bring into my daily work, was preferable to spending months (and possibly even years) fighting to change systems that were already well in place. So I set out to discover what I truly wanted to do. I took inventory of my talents both professionally and personally. I began thinking with the end in mind. I documented what I wanted my life to look like. My lifestyle goals were simple: to be able to wake up without an alarm clock and to take a Yoga class or go for a run in the middle of the day - without guilt. Professionally, I wanted to use my extensive business/marketing background and passion for personal development to help empower other professional women – and to make a difference in their lives. After much introspection, reaching out to my support network, attending workshops, and working with my own personal coach – I discovered what I truly wanted to do, and the modern woman’s toolkit was born! My leap from Corporate America to bona fide entrepreness happened over time and with lots of support. I received my Business/Personal Coaching certification at night while I worked full-time to pay the bills. When I finally made the leap to full-time entrepreneurship, I knew I had made the right decision.I am so passionate about what I do because I’ve been where you may be while you read this. I know what it’s like to be a smart, creative woman in Corporate America and feeling stuck & stifled by the lack of creativity or motivation in the environment. I know what it’s like to have a bunch of creative ideas and not knowing which one to focus on. I know what it’s like to have that quiet inner voice saying: “Who do you think you are?” I know what it feels like to be unfulfilled in a career where no amount of money would have made me happy. And I also know how important it is – as we step into bigger shoes and start reaching for what will really fulfill us – to have a strong support network and a trusted resource to help you navigate the path, while providing tangible resources, tools, tips and guidance that will save you time, stress and money. Today I’m living proof of a woman who is pursuing her dreams every day while having a lifestyle I love. I get to work with amazing women both through my group work in Ladies Who Launch® Incubators and through the individual collaboration services I offer to women all over the country.
